SRILA BODHAYAN MAHARAJ PRASHAD INSTRUCTION
For all of you who are greedy for service, please follow Srila Bodhayan Goswami Maharaj new diet. Please follow the instructions written below without any exceptions.
Morning Herbal Tonic (Around 6:00 AM)
Preparation (Night Before):
- Boil 3/4 liter (approximately 800 ml) of water.
- Add 2 tablespoons of ajwain seeds (carom seeds).
- Cover and let steep overnight.
In the Morning:
- Reheat the mixture gently.
- Strain and serve with:
- 1 tablespoon of raw honey
- Juice of 1 lemon
Morning Prasadam (Between 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM)
- Fill Gurudev’s water container with warm, filtered water (not too hot).
- Serve fresh green juice, made from any of the following:
- Celery, spinach, apple or berries, lemon, ginger, turmeric
- If available, serve chia seeds soaked overnight in water.
- Offer a fresh salad if vegetables are available, such as:
- Arugula, sprouts
Suggested Salad Dressing:
- Olive oil
- Lemon juice
- A pinch of salt
- Apple cider vinegar (excellent for cholesterol support)
- Balsamic vinegar
- Avocado
- Black olives
- Nutritional yeast
- Cayenne pepper
Nuts and Seeds (small portions):
- Almonds (Gurudev especially likes almond butter)
- Cashews
- Walnuts
- Pumpkin seeds
Fruit Plate (as available):
- Apples, pears, kiwi, plums, papaya (with lemon), blueberries, raspberries, blackberries, cherries
Evening Meal (2–3 Hours Before Sunset | Around 4:00–5:00 PM)
Permitted Grains:
- Buckwheat
- Kamut
- Quinoa
- Millet
- Amaranth
- Short-grain brown rice or wild rice
- Pasta made from the above grains is also acceptable
Vegetables:
- Artichoke hearts (fresh)
- Steamed asparagus with lemon
- Leafy greens or any type of spinach
Protein Options:
- Tofu
- Tempeh
- Paneer (preferably served with Bragg’s Liquid Aminos or coconut aminos)
Vegetable Preparation:
- Steamed is preferred
- Add a bit of olive oil at the end
- Turmeric is beneficial for liver health
- Bragg’s and cayenne may be added
- A small amount of toasted sesame oil may also be used
Dāl (Thor or Mung Dāl):
- Soak for at least 24 hours
- Cook slowly to reduce acidity
Sides:
- Cayenne pepper and nutritional yeast may be served alongside the meal
Chapatis:
- Made from sprouted grains such as sprouted spelt are acceptable
❌ Foods to Be Strictly Avoided
- Regular potatoes (sweet potatoes are fine)
- Eggplant
- Tomatoes
- Bananas
- Desserts, unless made only with:
- Monk fruit sugar, date sugar, coconut sugar, maple syrup, or agave
- All dairy products, except ethically sourced happy cow milk
- Fried foods
- Starch-heavy foods
- Refined grains, such as white rice or white wheat (these raise blood sugar levels)
- Overly sweet fruits
- Oranges (grapefruits and tangerines are okay)
- Peanuts (they take up to four days to digest)
