President-Acharya of Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math
Srila Bhakti Bibudha Bodhayan Goswami Maharaj is the prominent philosopher of our time, a profound theologian, and a guardian of ancient wisdom. Hailing from the village of Kanpur in West Bengal, his deep-seated affiliation with Vedic culture and profound philosophy was ingrained from his early childhood.
Bathed in the affectionate guidance of his respected grandfather, Srila Madan Mohan Prabhu, a disciple of Srila Prabhupad Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Goswami Thakur, and other esteemed Vaisnavas, Srila Bodhayan Maharaj immersed on his spiritual path. In 1986, he received initiation from Srila Bhakti Pramod Puri Goswami Thakur and adopted the name Achyutananda Das Brahmachari.
Motivated by an unwavering commitment to his Gurudev, Srila Bodhayan Maharaj devoted himself entirely to the Loving Mission of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. Recognized for his spiritual qualities, he was adorned with the holy robes of renunciation (sannyas) in 1993, and since then, he has been known as Tridandi Bhisku Bhakti Bibudha Bodhayan.
In 1997, at the remarkable age of 98, Srila Bhakti Pramod Puri Goswami Thakur appointed Srila Bibudha Bodhayan Goswami Maharaj as his successor and Acharya of Sri Gopinath Gaudiya Math.
