In the general materialistic society, dishonesty and cheating is to be expected, and is therefore not very harmful to the ideals of a society. However, if a renounced person (a monk) is dishonest and cheats people, it is tremendously harmful to the ideals of a society. Therefore, the true role of a renounced person is extremely important, in order to maintain the high ideals of a society.

Haribol, this is really important, because a monk should have no material aspirations. Must accept what Krsna gives him as his share, and nothing more. While society wants to benefit him in many things. He should reject.
